Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is a small-screen platform game adaptation of the blockbuster movie.
All the main characters from Ice Age 4: Continental Drift appear in this official game. You get to play as Scrat, Manny, Sid and Diego, who become playable at different levels. Each character responds and behaves differently, which helps to make the gameplay more varied. There are 13 levels in total, spread across five environments.
Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is a platform game that doesn't deviate from nor add anything new to the genre. It's great fun to play though, from the early levels featuring Scrat, which play a lot like Sonic the Hedgehog, to Manny's levels where you must bulldoze your way through any obstacles.
The graphics in the Ice Age 4: Continental Drift game are well done. The characters look like they do in the movie, and the backgrounds are consistent with the film too. The humor from the movie is transmitted in the game too, and you really get a sense of the comedic traits of each character.
Controls in Ice Age 4: Continental Drift are fairly easy to pick up, and hints appear on screen for the first couple of levels to tell which keys to press. Jumping is a little frustrating though, since you need to press a different key depending on whether you want to jump to the left or to the right.
Although it doesn't break any new ground, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is an enjoyable movie tie-in that fans of Ice Age will enjoy.
